Cylinder head materialCylinder heads are generally cast from high-quality gray cast iron or alloy cast iron, and gasoline engines for cars mostly use aluminum alloy cylinder heads.3. Cylinder head constructionCylinder heads are box-shaped parts with complex structures. It is machined with intake and exhaust valve seat holes, valve guide holes, spark plug mounting holes (gasoline engines) or injector mounting holes (diesel engines). Inside the cylinder head are also cast a water jacket, intake and exhaust ducts and a combustion chamber or part of the combustion chamber. Excessive cold shrinkage of the cylinder block and cylinder head can also cause cracking.4. The diesel engine runs for a long time, the temperature inside the machine is high, and the high-temperature water is immediately released after stopping. This can cause hot parts to crack when exposed to cold air.5. Use the pressure reducing machine to stop the machine, so that the high-temperature cylinder head suddenly encounters cold air and causes cracking.Cracking of various types of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads is prevented:1. Before starting the diesel engine, warm and hot water should be added to the water tank, and hot water should be filled 2~3 times in severe winter, and it is best to start when the water flowing out of the water valve is about 30~50 °C.2.
